Discover Andy's Fishing Lake

One of the unique benefits of staying with us is complimentary fishing at Andy’s Fishing Lake.

Originally excavated in 2005 to provide water for a nearby strawberry and raspberry farm, Andy’s Fishing Lake was carefully stocked the following year with mirror carp, common carp, F1 carp, bream, tench, roach and perch. Since then, it has matured into a beautiful five-acre coarse fishing lake, offering peaceful fishing in the heart of the South Herefordshire countryside. As the lake has matured, so too have its fish, with specimen carp now weighing well over 20lb and perch exceeding 5lb.

Surrounded by established trees, natural reed beds and open countryside, the lake combines a tranquil setting with consistently rewarding fishing. Unlike many commercial fisheries, it isn’t used for match fishing, allowing guests to enjoy a quieter, more relaxed day’s angling throughout the season.

The lake’s varied depths, from shallow margins to water over 20 feet deep, create excellent fishing opportunities throughout the year. Whether you prefer fishing the pole, waggler or swimfeeder, the lake caters for a variety of techniques and experience levels.

Today, Andy’s Fishing Lake is enjoyed by both local anglers and our holiday guests. Some visit hoping to land a specimen carp, while others simply enjoy introducing children to angling for the very first time. Whatever brings you to the water’s edge, it’s a wonderfully peaceful place to spend a few hours.

Simply let us know before your arrival and we’ll provide your complimentary fishing pass. Fishing is available daily from dawn until dusk, and you’re welcome to enjoy as many fishing sessions as you like throughout your stay.
