Sometimes the greatest luxury isn't a packed itinerary or a special occasion. It's simply having the time and space to slow down.

Whether you’re escaping as a couple, catching up with a close friend, spending quality time with your mum or daughter, enjoying a peaceful solo escape or simply taking a little time for yourself, Bettws Court Retreats offers somewhere to slow down, recharge and enjoy life’s quieter moments.

BCR YOGA

Our three adult-only retreats — Barn Owl Retreat, Peregrine Retreat and Kestrel Retreat — have each been designed exclusively for adults. Surrounded by peaceful countryside, they combine panoramic views, private double spa baths and thoughtfully designed interiors with the peace and quiet that so many of our guests say they didn’t realise they needed.

Wake naturally to birdsong, enjoy breakfast overlooking the countryside and watch the neighbouring fields come to life. Spend the afternoon exploring Herefordshire or simply stay exactly where you are. Read a book, enjoy a long soak beneath the stars, photograph the wildlife or simply sit quietly with a coffee.

Sometimes that’s exactly what’s needed.

Why Adults Love Staying Here

Adult-only doesn’t simply mean no children. It creates a different pace of stay – quieter mornings, uninterrupted conversations and the freedom to spend your time exactly as you choose.

Peaceful Countryside

Wake to birdsong instead of traffic, breathe fresh countryside air and enjoy uninterrupted views across Herefordshire, Shropshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire, Powys and beyond.

Nature All Around You

Watch cattle and sheep grazing in the neighbouring fields, spot rabbits hopping through the grass, listen to pheasants calling across the countryside and keep an eye out for swallows during the summer months and birds of prey soaring overhead. Binoculars are provided so you can enjoy the surrounding wildlife even more.

Time to Unwind

Every retreat includes its own private outdoor double spa bath, filled with fresh water for every use. Whether you're easing tired legs after a countryside walk, enjoying the peace with a morning coffee or unwinding beneath the stars at the end of the day, it's the perfect place to truly switch off.

A Different View Every Hour

From morning mist drifting across the fields to golden sunsets and dark star-filled skies, the landscape is constantly changing. Every season brings something different to enjoy from the comfort of your private decking.

Space to Switch Off

Read a book. Listen to your favourite playlist through the Sonos speakers. Enjoy coffee outside. Watch the changing light move across the surrounding countryside. Sometimes the best part of a break is realising you don't have to be anywhere else.

No Timetables

Wake when you choose. Eat when you're hungry. Explore if you feel like it. Stay in if you don't. There are no schedules to follow, no activities you have to join and nowhere you need to be.

Your Retreat, Your Pace

No two guests enjoy Bettws Court Retreats in quite the same way.

Some arrive with walking boots, eager to explore the Wye Valley and surrounding countryside. Others spend the day discovering vineyards, independent cafés and local market towns before returning for an evening beneath the stars.

Some hardly leave the retreat at all.

Instead, they enjoy breakfast on the decking, watch wildlife through the picture window, relax in the spa bath, read a good book, photograph the changing landscape or simply enjoy the peace and quiet.

However you choose to spend your time, there’s no right or wrong way to enjoy your stay.
